Thirteen years. Three government transformation entities. Two performance functions built from the ground up. One consistent conviction: strategy only matters when it changes what actually happens.

I've spent my career inside the system, not advising from outside it. At Elm, Monsha'at, and now SAIP, the question has always been the same — how do you take a national ambition and build the machinery that makes it real?

Today I lead the Strategy Management Office at SAIP — the full stack: long-term strategy, KPIs, dashboards, portfolio governance, and the team that makes it run. Beyond the organization, I represent Saudi interests internationally, including founding Saudi Arabia's first Collective Management Organization and anchoring the Saudi Fund-in-Trust initiative at WIPO.

The best strategy work doesn't announce itself. It's the foundation everything else stands on.

Apr 2023 – Present

Executive Director, Strategy Management Office

Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP)

  • Built SAIP's Strategy Management Office from a blank page — the team, the frameworks, the dashboards, the governance rhythm.
  • Translated SAIP's founding mandate into a long-term strategy and the operating model to deliver it, down to every department.
  • Designed the performance architecture — KPIs, dashboards, review cadence — that the whole organization executes against.
  • Took SAIP's strategic portfolio from informal to fully governed — every initiative tracked, resourced, and accountable.
  • Co-founded Saudi Arabia's first Collective Management Organization; anchored the Saudi Fund-in-Trust initiative at WIPO.

Jan 2020 – Mar 2023

Head of Planning & Performance

Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP)

  • Built and led the department that became the nerve center for all of SAIP's performance visibility.
  • Designed the KPI architecture and reporting cadence that executive leadership depended on to run the organization.
  • Became the internal authority on strategy execution — the person leadership called when targets weren't tracking.

Performance Manager

Vision Realization Office – Ministry of Labor and Social Development

  • Embedded inside the Ministry as the watchdog for Vision 2030 delivery — tracking targets, flagging gaps, escalating to leadership.
  • Bridged the Ministry with Adaa, SMO, and the Vision Realization network — keeping national and ministerial goals in sync.
  • Held accountability for ensuring ministerial initiatives produced actual, measurable results — not just activity.

Jul 2017 – Mar 2019

Strategy & Performance Supervisor

Small & Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at)

  • Brought Monsha'at into the national planning ecosystem — represented the Authority in NTP 2.0 and across Vision 2030 bodies.
  • Built the BSC-based performance framework from the ground up — first time the Authority had a functioning strategy execution system.
  • Owned the full performance cycle: planning, tracking, reporting, and budget alignment — end to end.

Senior Strategy Analyst

Elm Information Security Company

  • Where the discipline was built: strategy mapping, KPI design, cascade logic, scorecard architecture.
  • Managed Elm's corporate scorecard and the strategic initiative pipeline across all business units.
  • Led annual strategic planning cycles and presented performance results to senior leadership.

Key Career Achievements

Built the performance function twice — once at Monsha'at, once at SAIP. Both are still running.

The KPI frameworks I designed are embedded in two national strategies and used across Saudi government today.

Adaa — the national performance body — ranked SAIP among the top government entities in strategic alignment. That's the system and the team I built.

Co-founded Saudi Arabia's first Collective Management Organization. Anchored the Saudi Fund-in-Trust at WIPO.

The Saudi face in rooms that shaped international IP policy — WIPO committees, strategic forums, bilateral discussions.

Because the work doesn't stop at the office door — Board member of a nonprofit dedicated to human development.
